Eating at Warorot market near Ping river.
Have a romantic Thai style dinner at Warorot market
Situated only 2 minutes walk north from the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and sitting beside the Ping River the Warorot Market is a busy hive of daytime activity. Warorot Market opens daily early in the morning and closes after dark. Go by foot, pedicab, Tuk-Tuk or Songtheaw as it is nearly impossible to get a park there unless you have a motor bike.
Khanom jeen (ขนมจีน )or "Khanom jin" are thin fermented rice vermicelli noodles, a staple of Thai street food and 'leftover cuisine'.
It can be pretty shabby looking but it's a great tasting noodle dish when dressed up with the sides. .
You'll find the vendors in business at various times of the day and night, but notably appearing around midnight for 'post entertainment' sustenance, with equal numbers of hawkers springing up early morning around dawn for those at the other end of the tribal spectrum.
There are plenty of day time khanom jeen shops too.
These noodles are used as a staple food in a variety of Thai dishes. Some popular dishes are:

Visakha Bucha day
Walk up Doi Suthep for Visakha Bucha Day
planned on 23 Thursday 2013 Thursday night, 23 May there will be a
Lanna style parade to bring the holy water up to Wat Phra That Doi
Suthep and the procession of the faithful begin their 11 km walk up Doi
Suthep.
Most people will arrive around 1-3 a.m. to walk three times around the temple. Then at 6:30 a.m. people will give alms to 225 monks at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. There will be a bathing ceremony with Royal lustral water of the Buddha images at 3 p.m.
